On a warm night in mid June<\/p>\n
by the darkness of new moon.<\/div>\n
Some millions of outliers<\/div>\n
took the air out of the tires.<\/div>\n
When the drivers found out that<\/div>\n
all their Goodyears had gone flat,<\/div>\n
they responded with a cry,<\/div>\n
“Those who did this have to die!”<\/div>\n
But they’d always missed the point<\/div>\n
that this world was not their joint.<\/div>\n
What their cars did to the air<\/div>\n
harmed the planet, wasn’t fair.<\/div>\n
All the climate change deniers,<\/div>\n
those who called scientists liars,<\/div>\n
had to pause their thoughtless squawking,<\/div>\n
faced now with the threat of walking.<\/div>\n
“And the smokestacks will be next.<\/div>\n
It’s a new day,” said the text.<\/div>\n
Business based on growth and greed<\/div>\n
must bow now to worldly need.<\/div>\n
If the planet’s to survive,<\/div>\n
we must be like bees in hive.<\/div>\n
Old lifestyles of buy and waste<\/div>\n
must be changed, and with some haste.<\/div>\n
Without your cooperation,<\/div>\n
planet earth goes on vacation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
