And I sometimes slug a drink.<\/div>\n
But, slug, I do find your name odd,<\/div>\n
for a shell-less gastropod.<\/div>\n
Though I do like your Martian eyes<\/div>\n
that hide away at each surprise.<\/div>\n
And you can’t run away from crime,<\/div>\n
leaving all that trailing slime.<\/div>\n
You may have some ugly faces,<\/div>\n
but at least fit in small spaces.<\/div>\n
And finally let’s talk of your vertical leaps.<\/div>\n
You slime up a wall and it gives me the creeps.<\/div>\n
It’s not that I think you’re an aggressive devil,<\/div>\n
I just wish that you couldn’t rise to my level.<\/div>\n
And so I must crown you Excelsior slug.<\/div>\n
