blanket of discomfort, waist to head.<\/div>\n
Those who don’t believe in abnegation<\/div>\n
walk through this world as if on vacation.<\/div>\n
Those who think the flesh not really weak<\/div>\n
haven’t learned to turn the other cheek.<\/div>\n
In the olde days, witches suffered lashes.<\/div>\n
That’s what happens when the spirit crashes.<\/div>\n
Take them to the stocks, put them up on blocks,<\/div>\n
pummel them with rocks ’til evil dashes.<\/div>\n
Each religion has to have a starter.<\/div>\n
Often it comes disguised as a martyr,<\/div>\n
as if dying for our sins, how most often this begins,<\/div>\n
somehow makes their piety much smarter.<\/div>\n
Take the heathen to the whipping post,<\/div>\n
for his lack of God’s what hurts him most.<\/div>\n
If his dying breath welcomes healing death,<\/div>\n
