right would see a lot more non-white faces.<\/div>\n
Left would have to hold those MAGA signs,<\/div>\n
right be pepper sprayed in protest lines.<\/div>\n
Left would say the cops have got our backs.<\/div>\n
Right would say they only arrest blacks.<\/div>\n
Left would say they’ll give up guns when dead,<\/div>\n
right urge they use smaller ones instead.<\/div>\n
What we need perhaps is a new middle,<\/div>\n
folks sick of the emperor’s gold fiddle,<\/div>\n
who back equal pay and education,<\/div>\n
health insurance and a kinder nation.<\/div>\n
As things are the two sides will keep bashing,<\/div>\n
a highway with no lines where cars keep crashing.<\/div>\n
A party based upon our common ground<\/div>\n
