{"id":1571,"date":"2020-02-13T09:08:44","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T14:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/redtinnoodles.com\/?p=1571"},"modified":"2020-02-13T09:08:44","modified_gmt":"2020-02-13T14:08:44","slug":"if-the-glitz-fits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redtinnoodles.com\/?p=1571","title":{"rendered":"If The Glitz Fits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Politics\u00a0was overrun by Oscars Sunday night,<\/p>\n<div>although, quite tellingly, the big win was &#8220;Parasite.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>It was not a documentary about our leader,<\/div>\n<div>but a South Korean film from way off fame&#8217;s bright meter.<\/div>\n<div>Other nominated films gave nods to our land&#8217;s dreadful plight.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Irishman&#8221; had mobsters, &#8220;Joker&#8221; had a mind not right.<\/div>\n<div>While, overall, the ceremony cleared the D.C. palate,<\/div>\n<div>some might have wished these movie stars were on the coming ballot.<\/div>\n<div>Joaquin, of course, would be the Secretary of the Mad.<\/div>\n<div>Though some would say there&#8217;s several in this cabinet just as bad.<\/div>\n<div>Brad Pitt would be the head of &#8216;IT&#8217; and work without a shirt.<\/div>\n<div>Renee would roam the capital, sing Judy &#8217;til it hurt.<\/div>\n<div>And what if exercising Jane was made the new A.G.<\/div>\n<div>In her red dress, she&#8217;d fix the mess we&#8217;ve made of history.<\/div>\n<div>And last, but not least, comes Sir Elton, our own Rocket Man.<\/div>\n<div>Imagine him in uniform, head of the Space Force plan.<\/div>\n<div>Alas the show is over and it&#8217;s back to day-to-day.<\/div>\n<div>Gone is the flash, here comes the bash.
