Covid’s the canary in the coalmine,<\/p>\n

opened up our eyes that things are not fine.<\/div>\n
Things got out of hand and paralyzed the land.<\/div>\n
Emergency responders were our front line.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Then, of course, we opened way too soon,<\/div>\n
to appease this economic goon.<\/div>\n
He said throw out your masks, and they do what he asks.<\/div>\n
The truth is that the virus didn’t swoon.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And then there came the kneeling of the cop.<\/div>\n
The t.v. murder blew the nation’s top.<\/div>\n
There’s people in the street who will not take a seat<\/div>\n
until they see this racial hatred stop.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We finally got the cause that we deserve,<\/div>\n
and now’s perhaps the last chance to show nerve.<\/div>\n
We cannot let this settle back into the same old kettle.<\/div>\n
America, our path must take a curve.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
If people take their message to the street,<\/div>\n
things might get really hot in summer heat.<\/div>\n
Stay strong and don’t back down, the leader is a clown.<\/div>\n
This chance for change may not see a repeat.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
