\nServed thirty years in Congress.
\nHis passion was heartfelt.
\nHe always worked for justice,
\nused non-violence to fight strife.
\nThese last four years, he fought the swamp,
\n’til cancer took his life.
\nHe was a man whose history
\ndefined a striving nation.
\nLet’s hope he feels redemption
