I’ve got a lot in common with my cat.
\nIt’s more than we’re both getting old and fat.
\nNow he sleeps with my wife as I go about my life,

\nWhile oftentimes we slouch, entangled on the couch,
\nthere are times we don’t engage for hours.
\nHe doesn’t like the rain, or my arthritis\u00a0pain.
\nNeither one of us think much of baths or showers.
\nI sweep his hair off the floor
\nonce a month and not much more.
\nAll the clothing in the house looks like angora.
\nWith the white hair on our faces,
\nwe go many the same places.
