Black Friday, in the days gone by,
\nused to be a riot.
\nNow, it’s all just shop at home,

\nBut, in the times before,

\nas if hungry or poor,
\nthen charge into the store.
\nThere’d even be fist fights
\nabout their buyer’s rights,
\nand other nasty sights.
\nYou’d see scratches and bites.
\nBut nowadays, with germs about,
\nBlack Friday’s had its heart cut out.
\nNo lines for blocks outside the mall.
\nNo shoppers trampled when they fall.
\nNo dress department tugs of war.
\nNo combatants down on the floor.
\nIt’s all so simple: buy on line.
\nSit at home with cheese and wine.
\nContact shopping, rest in peace.
