I’m starting up another sleepless streak,<\/div>\n
continuing this wild, untethered week.<\/div>\n
At times it all seems well, at others bleak.<\/div>\n
It’s like a slo-mo fall from off my peak.<\/div>\n
Perhaps I should be grateful for commotion,<\/div>\n
for life can ebb and crash much like the ocean.<\/div>\n
For pain, there’s always pills or sometimes lotion.<\/div>\n
It’s hard to not see old age as demotion.<\/div>\n
When breathing\u00a0gets oppressive<\/div>\n
and the manic turns depressive,<\/div>\n
life and death in their successive turns reveal<\/div>\n
they are partners in the end,<\/div>\n
one can admit or pretend,<\/div>\n
whether you’re\u00a0a holy cow or meathook veal.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
