The state of the union is in pain,<\/p>\n

and not just because Russia’s in Ukraine.<\/div>\n
We still have citizens in great division,<\/div>\n
with not much more on both sides than derision.<\/div>\n
It seems that since the president’s election,<\/div>\n
the right’s taken to madness and objection.<\/div>\n
The government is locked in this stalemate,<\/div>\n
and crossing lines untaps\u00a0a spate of hate.<\/div>\n
There’s some who still take their advice from Q,<\/div>\n
and hate groups\u00a0who’d be happy with a coup.<\/div>\n
Just a simple infrastructure bill<\/div>\n
triggered animus upon the hill.<\/div>\n
And now, with Putin’s mentioning of nukes,<\/div>\n
the patriots must rail against the kooks.<\/div>\n
There’s even those who side with Russia still.<\/div>\n
The right wing media’s a rumor mill.<\/div>\n
And if the newest Justice is approved,<\/div>\n
it means heaven and hell had to be moved.<\/div>\n
Just saying that our union’s state is dire<\/div>\n
steps foot into political crossfire.<\/div>\n
The next election cycle could just tear this land apart.<\/div>\n
