The voicelessness of mimes in trees,
\nlike toilet paper hung on breeze,
\nor choking back an ardent sneeze,
\nthe subtle change as droplets freeze,
\nsprings into life upon dead air,
\ntransmission interruptus there:
\nwhere once was music shrill and loud
\nnow hangs a huge but silent cloud.
\nSome spark or neuron has extinguished.
\nAural lifeline’s been relinquished.
\nSound waves flattened, noise turned white,
\nhearing distant, severed kite.<\/p>\n
