I’m ice cold and my hands are blue.
\nI feel the wind right through my shoe.
\nI’ve got no roof or home to shelter me,

\nI’m a homeless man in a heartless time.
\nI’ve got no money. That’s my crime.
\nOnce I had friends and dreams and plans.
\nBut that world slipped through my hands.
\nOn dark streets, disregards the ruling mood.
\nOne begs for change in hopes of getting food.
\nEventually the elders turn to drink.
\nA man can’t mourn his life if he can’t think.
\nI just can’t get a grip with fingers bent.
\nI live in shame but that’s irrelevant.
\nI eat from trash and pack a cardboard bed.
\nI fight for life while wishing I were dead.
